Worried About Memory Loss? Free Memory Screening throughout the month of November!

In support of Alzheimer’s awareness and to promote early detection and intervention, the Memory Health Center is teaming with the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America to offer free memory screening. If you are concerned about memory loss, schedule your memory screening now. Early detection and treatment is the hope for stopping the debilitating progression of Alzheimer’s disease.

As we age, it is normal for many of us to experience some short-term memory loss. However there are some types of memory loss that are not considered part of normal aging. Unfortunately, the person with memory loss and family members may not recognize the symptoms indicating a problem. Some early symptoms of significant memory loss may include forgetfulness, repeating words or phrases, trouble managing finances and confusion.

It is important to be evaluated if you or someone you know has experienced sudden or ongoing memory loss of any degree. Early evaluation, and treatment, if necessary, may help prolong memory and functional ability, as well as improve the long-term quality of life for the person with memory loss and his/her family.

The Memory Health Center at Summit Research Network is committed to ongoing research and care for individuals and families dealing with memory loss. To schedule your free memory screening, call 503-228-CARE (2273) or fill out the form to the right.
